7. The potentiometer must be firm and reliable during installation. The nut to be fastened should be tightened in place with enough torque to prevent loosening and displacement during the long-term use, and collision with other components can lead to circuit failure.
8. Variously adjustable potentiometers can be mounted directly on the printed circuit board, but attention should be paid to the arrangement of adjacent components to ensure that potentiometer adjustment is convenient without affecting adjacent components.
9. Unsealed potentiometers are most prone to noise failures, mainly due to oil contamination and wear. At this point, you must not use a lubricating oil to solve this problem. Lubrication can actually
increase the increase of internal dust and conductive particles. We should use the correct method to gently wipe the dirt on the resistor piece with a cotton ball containing anhydrous alcohol, and remove the oil from the contact brush and the lead reed.
